~6 medium-sized pears/apples, peeled and sliced
1 T lemon juice
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
3/4 c all-purpose flour
1/2 c butter or margarine
1/2 c dark brown sugar
1/2 c quick oats
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Grease 2 qt glass baking dish.
Place fruit in dish and toss with lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Combine butter and flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in brown sugar and oatmeal. Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until fruit is tender and top is browned.
Ideal served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
